Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Portland Adventist Academy Cougars (Portland, OR), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Blanchet Catholic moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Taft (Lincoln City, OR) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A/2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 test on Friday, September 6. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-2. Taft lost 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Tillamook (Tillamook, OR)

The Cougars now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Christian for a non-league test on Monday, September 9.
