The East Juniata Tigers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Shamokin Area Indians to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Tigers now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Midd-West for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 5. East Juniata will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Shamokin Area moves to 1-2 on the year. The Indians host Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 7. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Nativity BVM lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Williams Valley (Tower City, PA)
