In Wednesday's non-league match, the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A match, on Thursday, September 5. Oak Grove will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Blue Comets enter the match with a 7-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC).

The Granite Bears (2-6) will now prepare for their match against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings enter the Northwest 1A match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, North Stokes was outscored by Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 3-0, in a league match.
