Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Western Albemarle improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to The Covenant (Charlottesville, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 3-0. The Covenant won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA)

The Bears now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain View for a Commonwealth test on Thursday, September 5. Riverbend will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Gainesville (Gainesville, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
