Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS), 41-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Alcorn Central advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bears host North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS) to play the Vikings in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Vikings come into the match with a record of 2-0. North Pontotoc won 46-0 in their recent non-league match against Nettleton (Nettleton, MS)

Coming up next, the Rebels confront the Potts Camp Cardinals (Potts Camp, MS) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 11. Thrasher will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 0-2 record after their 37-8 non-league loss to Myrtle (Myrtle, MS).
