Texas High School Football - Reedy smashes Emerson

September 4, 2025: McKinney, TX 75070

The Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX) football trounced the host Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX), 33-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Lions now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Sherman for a 5A-1 Region II District 5 outing on Friday, September 12. Reedy will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Rock Hill (Frisco, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Emerson drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 5A-2 Region I District 4 game on Friday, September 12. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 2-0. Walnut Grove won 49-24 in their recent non-league game against Little Elm (Little Elm, TX)
