In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Fort Bend Bush Broncos football squad scored a close 34-31 triumph over the Katy Taylor Mustangs.

The Broncos (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Alief Taylor (Houston, TX). The Lions come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Alief Taylor was tipped by Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX), 35-14, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Mayde Creek for a 6A Region III District 19 battle on Thursday, September 11. Katy Taylor will play a Rams team coming off a 63-28 non-league win over Fort Bend Austin (Sugar Land, TX). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
