Texas High School Football - Port Isabel knocked off by Rio Hondo

In Thursday's non-league game, the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) football team overcame the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), by a tally of 35-22.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Hidalgo Early College Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 12. Rio Hondo will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 46-0 non-league loss to La Feria (La Feria, TX).

The Tarpons now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Valley View for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Port Isabel will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 27-0 non-league loss to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
