The Seguin Cougars (Arlington, TX) football tipped the visiting Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX), 41-34 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Burleson for a 5A-2 Region I District 3 contest on Thursday, September 11. Seguin will battle a Elks squad coming off a 57-14 non-league win over Cleburne (Cleburne, TX). The Elks record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Hawks battle the Cedar Hill Longhorns (Cedar Hill, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Red Oak will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Longhorns enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 38-0 non-league loss to Allen (Allen, TX).
