Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football squad nudge the host Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX), 26-20 in a non-league match.
The Buckeyes (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Panthers come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record.
With the defeat, Chapel Hill drops to 0-1 on the campaign.
