The Helix Highlanders felled the host Otay Ranch Mustangs flag football team by a score of 18-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Highlanders play the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Helix will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Braves come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 25-6 non-league win over Logan Memorial Education Campus (San Diego, CA).

With the defeat, Otay Ranch drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to meet the Foothillers in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Foothillers come into the test with a record of 10-2. Grossmont won 32-18 in their recent non-league test against Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA)
