The Lacey Township Lions soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Toms River North Mariners to 0 in the Lions league victory on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Regional for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9.

The Mariners (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Middletown North nudged Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ), 6-0, in a non-league challenge.
