The Anson Bearcats felled the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls football team by a score of 36-28 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bearcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Huss for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Anson will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 14-12 non-league win over North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, South Stanly drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rowdy rebel bulls host Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-0.
