Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) and the visiting Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), observed Franklin County's volleyball team hold off Mercer County by a count of 2-1.

The Flyers (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Madison Central (Richmond, KY). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.

In their next game, the Titans encounter the East Jessamine Jaguars (Nicholasville, KY) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Mercer County will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars go into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Scott County (Georgetown, KY).
