Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Live Oak Lions (Live Oak, CA) and the visiting Winters Warriors (Winters, CA), observed Live Oak's volleyball team hold off Winters by a count of 2-1.

The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Maxwell (Maxwell, CA). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record.

The Warriors now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Durham for a battle on Tuesday, September 9. Winters will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Shasta (Redding, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-0.
