In Thursday's league battle, the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) volleyball squad toppled the visiting The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), by a score of 2-0.

With the win, New Covenant improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Gryphons host North Cross (Roanoke, VA) to meet the Raiders in a challenge on Friday, September 5. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. North Cross lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA)

In their next game, the Eagles face the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 19. The Covenant will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
