Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) and the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), saw Midway's soccer squad knock off Hobbton by a count of 2-0.

The Raiders (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Harnett Central by Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC), 3-1, in a non-league match.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakewood for a Carolina 1A/2A match on Monday, September 8. Hobbton will meet a Leopards team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 0-6.
