The Mavericks (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest (Wichita, KS). The Grizzlies enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Northwest was overwhelmed by Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS), 6-0, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host West for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Salina Central will meet a Chargers team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Hayden (Topeka, KS). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.
