In Thursday's non-league outing, the host South Iredell Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans.
The Vikings (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Sun Valley by Concord (Concord, NC), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Trojans confront the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a South Piedmont 4A/5A test, on Tuesday, September 9. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 5-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC).
