Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fossil Ridge SaberCats (Fort Collins, CO), 8-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Lincoln Southwest improves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Silver Hawks travel to Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO) to confront the Ravens in a non-league match on Friday, September 5. The Ravens come into the match with a record of 4-1. Riverdale Ridge won 14-2 in their recent league match against Northglenn (Northglenn, CO)

The SaberCats (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Millard West (Omaha, NE). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Millard West edged Park Hill (Kansas City, MO), 6-5, in a non-league challenge.
