In Thursday's league test, the Malcolm Clippers (Malcolm, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the host Milford Eagles (Milford, NE), by a tally of 9-2.

Next, the Clippers clash with the Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Malcolm will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Orangemen enter the contest with a 8-3 record after their 15-1 non-league win over Central City (Central City, NE).

The Eagles now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fairbury for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 6. Milford will face a Jeffs squad coming off a 19-6 non-league loss to Crete (Crete, NE). The Jeffs record now stands at 3-7.
