Illinois High School Volleyball - Abingdon/Avon edged by Farmington

Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Farmington upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Farmers travel to West Prairie (Sciota, IL) to meet the Cyclones in a Prairieland South challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. West Prairie won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL)

Next, the Tornadoes meet the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans (Hamilton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 8. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Liberty (Liberty, IL).
