In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Columbus Sailors.
The Falcons (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Denver (Denver, IA). The Cyclones enter the non-league challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, Denver beat Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Sailors meet the Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
