Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Calvary Day Cavaliers (Savannah, GA) and the host Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), observed Calvary Day's volleyball team top Johnson by a tally of 2-0.
The Cavaliers (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Brunswick (Brunswick, GA). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Brunswick was beaten by Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA), 2-1, in a league contest.
Next, the Atomsmashers meet the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA) in a 3A Area 3 contest, on Thursday, September 4. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a 5-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA).
