The Darien Blue Wave topped the visiting Newtown Nighthawks volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Blue Wave confront the Glastonbury Guardians (Glastonbury, CT) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 6. Darien will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Guardians go into the game with a 1-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT).

With the loss, Newtown drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT) to play the Tigers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Ridgefield lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT)
