Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA) and the host Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA), observed Woodstock's volleyball team hold off Douglas County by a count of 2-1.

The Wolverines (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, GA). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy got by Jackson (Jackson, GA), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA) in a 6A Area 2 battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Douglas County will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Harrison (Kennesaw, GA).
