In Thursday's league challenge, the host Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Douglas Patriots.
Next up, the Governors face the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) in a AA District 1 game, on Saturday, September 6. Pierre T.F. Riggs will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Kernels go into the game with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD).
The Patriots (0-8) will now prepare for their game against Hill City (Hill City, SD). The Rangers come into the non-league outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Hill City lost by Spearfish (Spearfish, SD), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
