The Stratford Spartans edged the host Episcopal Knights volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now possess a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mayde Creek for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. Stratford will play a Rams team coming off a 3-1 league win over Paetow (Katy, TX). The Rams record now stands at 10-10.

The Knights (9-9) will now prepare for their game against Clear Lake (Houston, TX). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 14-6 record. In their last game, Clear Lake held off Bellaire (Bellaire, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.
