Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Falmouth Navigators (Falmouth, ME) and the visiting Marshwood Hawks (South Berwick, ME), observed Falmouth's volleyball team hold off Marshwood by a count of 3-2.

The Navigators (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Deering (Portland, ME). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Deering was edged by Thornton Academy (Saco, ME), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Hawks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scarborough for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 9. Marshwood will encounter a Red Storm squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Gorham (Gorham, ME). The Red Storm record now stands at 1-0.
