In Thursday's non-league match, the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), by a count of 2-1.
Next up, the Cubs battle the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 8. Nevada will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Perry (Perry, IA).
The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Wildcats go into the Raccoon River battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Carlisle was edged by Ballard (Huxley, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
