The Lakeshore Lancers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Sturgis Trojans to 1 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lancers now have a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Buchanan for a non-league outing on Monday, September 8.

With the loss, Sturgis drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Fighting Tigers in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. The Fighting Tigers come into the outing with a record of 8-0. St. Philip Catholic Central won 3-1 in their recent league match against Colon (Colon, MI)
