South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Nemo Vista Red Hawks (Center Ridge, AR), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, South Side improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Hornet host Two Rivers (Ola, AR) to meet the Gators in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 8. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Two Rivers lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Guy-Perkins (Guy, AR)

Next, the Red Hawks meet the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Nemo Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR).
