Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) and the host Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Conklin, NY), observed Owego Free Academy's volleyball team top Susquehanna Valley by a count of 3-0.

The River Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Windsor Central (Windsor, NY). The Black Knights go into the Section 4 Southern Tier battle with a 0-0 record.

The Sabers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seton Catholic Central for a Section 4 Southern Tier battle on Tuesday, September 9.
