South Colonels (Worcester, MA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Colonels (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Notre Dame Academy (Worcester, MA). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record.

Next, the Pirates play the Millbury Woolies (Millbury, MA) in a Southern Worcester County League challenge, on Monday, September 8. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Woolies come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Whitinsville Christian (Whitinsville, MA).
