Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA) and the host Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA), observed Wapello's volleyball team top Pekin by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Wapello improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Indians host WACO (Wayland, IA) to face the Warriors in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 2-5. WACO won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against New London (New London, IA)

The Panthers now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winfield-Mt. Union for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9.
