Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Pilibos Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA), witnessed Pilibos's volleyball team overcome Shalhevet by a tally of 3-0.

The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Seawolves go into the Liberty game with a 13-3 record. In their last game, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica went down by Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA), 2-0, in a non-league game.

With the loss, Shalhevet drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Firehawks travel to Animo Leadership (Inglewood, CA) to play the Aztec Eagles in a Mulholland outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Aztec Eagles come into the outing with a record of 0-4. Animo Leadership lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lawndale (Lawndale, CA)
