In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals.
The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain Independent game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, John Paul II Catholic went down by Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC), 3-0, in a non-league game.
The Generals (5-1) will now prepare for their game against American Leadership Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Navigators go into the game with a 1-0 record.
