The Doherty Spartans volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Manitou Springs Mustangs to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coronado for a non-league game on Thursday, September 7. Doherty will meet a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.

The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their game against St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, St. Mary's was nudged by Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO), 2-1, in a non-league game.
