The Volcano Vista Hawks held off the host Sandia Matadors volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hawks now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Albuquerque for a non-league test on Thursday, September 7. Volcano Vista will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-0.
The Matadors (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies enter the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Hope Christian held off Moriarty (Moriarty, NM), 2-0, in a non-league test.
