Virginia High School Soccer - New Covenant held off by Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge Barons held off the visiting New Covenant Gryphons soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Tuesday's league match.

The Barons now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hargrave Military Academy for a Blue Ridge Athletic match on Thursday, September 7.

With the loss, New Covenant drops to 3-1 on the season. The Gryphons host Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA) to encounter the Conquerors in a non-league match on Friday, September 8. The Conquerors come into the match with a record of 0-1. Southwest Virginia Academy lost 7-0 in their recent non-league match against North Cross (Roanoke, VA)
