Maine High School Soccer - Valley knocks off Spruce Mountain

Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), 9-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers confront the Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 7. Valley will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Breakers enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 6-1 league win over Temple Academy (Waterville, ME).

The Phoenix now possess a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Carrabec for a 8 Person - South challenge on Wednesday, September 6. Spruce Mountain will confront a Cobras team coming off a 8-0 league win over Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Cobras record now stands at 1-0.
