Stephenson Jaguars (Stone Mountain, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clarkston Angoras (Clarkston, GA), 17-12 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Stone Mountain for a 4A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, September 7.

With the loss, Clarkston falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Angoras host Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Mt. Zion lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Luella (Luella, GA)
