Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders (Grand Island, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), 13-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest for a B District 8 challenge on Thursday, September 7. Grand Island Central Catholic will face a Vikings squad coming off a 13-6 non-league loss to Waverly (Waverly, NE). The Vikings record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Hershey falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Chase County (Imperial, NE) to face the Longhorns in a C District 10 challenge on Thursday, September 7. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Chase County lost 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Wray/Yuma (Wray, CO)
