The Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) softball routed the host Park Hill Trojans (Kansas City, MO), 13-3 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Pirates (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Smithville (Smithville, MO). The Warriors go into the Class 3 District 15 bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, Smithville was routed by Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Staley for a Class 4 District 16 bout on Thursday, September 7. Park Hill will confront a Falcons squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Lee's Summit North (Lee's Summit, MO). The Falcons record now stands at 4-5.
