Wayne Bulldogs (Wayne, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK), 11-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-12 record. They take the field next when they host Allen for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 7. Wayne will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-1 non-league win over Haworth (Haworth, OK). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-9.

With the loss, Velma-Alma falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Snyder (Snyder, OK) to battle the Cyclones in a Class A challenge on Thursday, September 7. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Snyder lost 22-3 in their recent league challenge against Carnegie (Carnegie, OK)
