The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Burkeville Mustangs (Burkeville, TX) and the visiting Apple Springs Eagles (Apple Springs, TX), saw Burkeville's volleyball squad beat Apple Springs by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Burkeville upgrades its record to 5-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Diboll (Diboll, TX) to play the Lumberjacks in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 6-9.

The Eagles now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Leverett's Chapel for a 1A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, October 3.
