The Blue Devils (24-8) will now prepare for their challenge against White Oak (White Oak, TX). The Roughnecks enter the non-league challenge with a 15-13 record. In their last challenge, White Oak was nudged by Hallsville (Hallsville, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lobos meet the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge, on Friday, September 8. Longview will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over White Oak (White Oak, TX).
