With the win, New Boston upgrades its record to 15-7 on the year. The Lions host Queen City (Queen City, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, September 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Queen City won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Prairiland (Pattonville, TX)

The Tigers now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Detroit for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 12.
