In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Kelliher/Northome Mustangs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Northland Eagles.
The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN). The Wolves come into the Northwoods battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley lost by Sebeka (Sebeka, MN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Eagles clash with the Hill City Hornets (Hill City, MN) in a Northern Lakes battle, on Thursday, September 7. Northland will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Hornets come into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over McGregor (McGregor, MN).
