Utah High School Volleyball - Layton over Riverton

September 5, 2023: Layton, UT 84041

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Layton Lancers (Layton, UT) and the visiting Riverton Silverwolves (Riverton, UT), saw Layton's volleyball squad beat Riverton by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Layton upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Lancers host Fremont (Plain City, UT) to play the Silverwolves in a 6A Region 1 bout on Thursday, September 14. The Silverwolves go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

The Silverwolves now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bountiful for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. Riverton will play a RedHawks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Bonneville (Washington Terrace, UT). The RedHawks record now stands at 3-2.
